How you may feel
Wide awake
Expect a jolt from the plunge. In a 2023 study, five minutes in cold water left people feeling more alert and attentive, and less nervous (Biology, 2023).
Easier on sore muscles
Training hard? Alternating hot and cold eased muscle soreness more than rest in a review of 18 trials (PLoS One, 2013).
Ready for bed
In a survey of 482 regular sauna users, 83.5% said a sauna helps their sleep (Complementary Therapies in Medicine, 2019).
Everyone is different, and this is not medical advice. Go by feel.

First-timer worries
Nervous? That's normal.
Six common first-timer questions, answered straight.
I'm nervous about the cold.
That's normal. Step in to your knees, then sit when you're ready. Thirty seconds counts. Breathe slow and long, and get out whenever you want. Nobody is watching.
I've never done a sauna.
Infrared heat is dry and builds slowly. Try 10 to 15 minutes for your first round, sip water between rounds, and step out any time you feel done.
I'd rather come with a friend.
Bring them. Add a guest when you book, +$20 for one or +$30 for two, and share the whole suite.
Will I feel rushed?
No. The time is yours, start to finish, and it includes your shower. Like to go slow? Book 85 minutes.
Is it really private?
Yes. The whole suite is yours and the door closes behind you. Nobody joins unless you bring them.
What if my plans change?
Change or cancel your booking up to 2 hours before it starts, at no charge.
First visit questions
First sauna and cold plunge questions.
Still wondering? Call (858) 305-2226 or email us.
How long should I stay in the sauna the first time?
Ten to fifteen minutes is a good first round. Then plunge, then warm back up. Two or three rounds fill a 55-minute session nicely. It's self-guided, so step out whenever you feel done.
How long should I stay in the cold plunge?
Start with thirty seconds to a minute. Some people work up to two or three minutes over a few visits, but there's no target to hit. Getting in at all is the win.
How hot is the sauna and how cold is the plunge?
The infrared sauna goes up to about 170°F and the plunge is kept at 45 to 49°F. The heat is dry, and the plunge is cold enough to take your breath for a second.
Sauna first or cold plunge first?
Most people start warm: sauna, then plunge, then back to the heat. Whether you finish hot or cold is up to you.
What if I don't like the cold plunge?
Skip it, or just dip your legs. The sauna and the shower are still all yours, and nobody is keeping score.
Will someone show me around?
It's self check-in and self-guided, so you have the suite to yourself. If anything is unclear on the day, call us at (858) 305-2226.
Can I play my own music?
Yes. Put on your own playlist and set the sauna light color with the remote.
Can I book for later today?
Often, yes. Temecula usually has same-day openings, and any time still free today shows on the booking page.
Who should check with a doctor first?
Hot and cold both put real demands on your body. If you're pregnant, have a heart condition or high blood pressure, or have any medical concern, talk to your doctor before your first session. Everyone signs a liability waiver at checkout.
